Our Story

From Palermo's
family table
to yours.

OSA began in a small kitchen in Rheinfelden, with a Sicilian grandmother's recipe and a stubborn belief that the best food tells a story. Today we cater intimate dinners, weddings, and cocktail hours across the Basel region — but every arancino is still rolled by hand, the way Nonna Carmela taught Chef Alessandro.

We source Carnaroli rice from Lombardy, semolina from Altamura, and seasonal vegetables from regional farms across the Fricktal and Markgräflerland. Slow food, served at a pace that lets you actually taste it.

Before you book.

What's your minimum booking?
Our minimum is CHF 1,800 for catering events of 20 guests or more. Smaller intimate dinners can be arranged on a case-by-case basis — just ask.
How far in advance should I book?
For weddings and large events, 3–6 months. For cocktail hours and smaller gatherings, two to four weeks is usually plenty. We do hold space for last-minute requests when we can.
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Always. Gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free, kosher, and allergen-aware menus are part of our standard practice. We'll work with you and your guests to make sure everyone is fed and happy.
What areas do you serve?
We're based in Rheinfelden and cater across Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft, Aargau, and the wider Dreiländereck — including Lörrach and Saint-Louis. Travel fees apply outside the Basel region.
Do you provide staff and rentals?
Yes — chefs, servers, bartenders, and front-of-house. Rentals (tables, linens, glassware, florals) are sourced through our trusted partners and bundled into one transparent invoice.
Can we do a tasting first?
Absolutely. Tastings are held at our Rheinfelden kitchen for events over 60 guests, complimentary upon contract signing. For smaller events, we can arrange a tasting for a flat fee.
